Workers' Compensation

Workers' Compensation cases are a special category of claim for injuries which occur "on the job." Such cases are brought before the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission, and are not tried before juries. Where such injuries occur, the injured worker may have a claim for medical expenses and treatment, payments for lost wages, and special compensation for any permanent injuries sustained.

Workers' Compensation cases are dramatically different in many ways from other personal injury claims. There are deadlines and procedures which, if not followed, can cost an otherwise deserving worker the compensation he or she deserves. Having experienced counsel in these cases are critical. Gene Trotter has been litigating Workers' Compensation cases for over 26 years, and is available to talk to you about your workplace injury.
